Augmented Reality

[ Description ]

Flop Office is an augmented reality experience created for the "Flops?!" exhibition at the Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris. Our goal was to create an interactive experience based on objects from the exhibition.

The concept: Flop Office
The story follows Charlie, a faceless office worker, a silhouette with whom everyone can identify. Charlie is trapped in a repetitive, endless task in a closed room.

The experience is divided into three chapters. In each chapter, the visitor looks through a physical window and discovers an augmented reality scene. They observe Charlie without being seen and can interact with their environment using an object from the exhibition.

The aim: to help Charlie break free from their routine and ultimately leave the room.

The idea behind the project
We wanted to recreate the visual world of the exhibition, particularly its cardboard sets. We also chose three objects reminiscent of everyday tools: a Bi-Bop, a videophone, and a Nabaztag. Through this somewhat absurd story, the project poses a simple question: how do tools from the workplace shape, sometimes absurdly, our daily gestures and habits?
